Hurt.

“Feel what you need to feel, then let it go.  Do not let it consume you.” – Dhiman

There comes a point when after you’ve shared your truth and you feel that freedom that things will come crashing down around you.  That’s me, that’s where I’m at right now.  Feeling hurt, betrayed, feeling like my emotions don’t matter. Because of someone else’s actions, I have to be reminded of the man monster I long to forget.  No details in this post because I don’t want this blog to turn turn into a place of bashing others, just a place of release this time.

For two years I have lived on the freedom high, but this past weekend I was not so kindly reminded of the monster and this has turned my week upside down.  I have tried so hard to let it have it’s moment and let it go, but this, this is real hurt.  This is difficult.  This is painful.

*To the person who caused this pain, if you are reading this, know that in order for me to move forward, I have to let go.

  1. Hey cousin, I herar you, I know what you are going through. You will have bad days and you will have great days. Just remember only you can let it you. I try to stay busy because when I’m dormant that is when I think of it the most. I am finally understanding that I cannot be hurt anymore by this person. And if it bothers me is because I’m allowing it to bother me and when this happens I go outside put my feet in the grass take a deep breath and say I am strong I am in control I will no longer be a victim. That works for me you have to find what works for you.
If you ever want to talk you know I’m here for you.
    Your cousin Carla

  2. Powerful words Carla…
Healing words. I guess sometimes the bandaid gets “ripped off” causing a return of pain and then someone like sweet Carla comes along and puts the salve of wisdom and understanding on it.
